My name is Fina Utami.
When I was in grade 11, I met Ci Ratna from Universal. At that time, I was looking to continue my education in Canada. She explained some options and steps that I need to take if I want to study abroad.
I was totally satisfied with the service provided by Universal. Everything was taken care of from admission requirement to visa/study permit to even flight. Not to mention, before leaving Indonesia, all students who will go to Canada get a comprehensive briefing on what to prepare and what to expect. I had enough assurance to go to Canada by myself.
I took grade 12 at Columbia International College (CIC) in Hamilton, a boarding school that is specially created for student from outside Canada. My timing to go to Canada cannot be more perfect because by getting my high school degree here, I know more about the culture and environment there. More importantly I got more reliable information regarding what university I should choose depending on my interest. I took my bachelor degree at McMaster University in Hamilton. I chose engineering physics and management degree. I learned a lot about power system as well as basics of accounting, economics, and other business knowledge. After that, I continued my education at York University for Master of Accounting degree. There, I gained more depth understanding about accounting. I also become more comfortable in expressing my opinion in public.
I have never regretted having chosen to go to Canada. I gained so much and I learned so much. I got a lot of experiences that I can never imagine getting them without going abroad.
